Capital Cost Estimating Advisor
Total Number of Openings 1 Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Capital Cost Estimating Advisor through 7/31/2026 at 11:59 p.m. (CST). Capital Cost Estimating Advisor is responsible for leading Class 3 through Class 5 estimating processes for capital projects and portfolios of varying complexity and size. This role provides cost estimating and budgeting support, risk consulting, contractor estimate validation, industrial benchmarking, AI development support, and maintenance of cost and estimating databases in alignment with Chevron Project Management System (CPMS) standards and requirements. Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to: Lead the development of project cost estimates in alignment with CPMS standards, including WBS, OBS, project schedules, resource and staffing plans, and funding request documentation. Lead the development and maintenance of Estimate Plans and Basis of Estimate documents for early project phases, ensuring alignment with CPMS standards and requirements. Develop cost estimates and identify variances; review and validate contractor estimates and engineering studies, challenge productivity and resource assumptions as needed, and assess cost and schedule impacts. Integrate contingency planning, escalation, and risk analysis into cost estimates, and evaluate contingency to support appropriate drawdown strategies based on risk analysis. Lead cost and schedule risk assessment engagements to ensure contingency is appropriately determined and incorporated into cost estimates and budgets based on identified risks and opportunities. Coordinate and support Cost Estimate Assurance Review engagements with project teams and Engineering partners to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and aligned with Cost Engineering standards and project needs.
