Data and AI capabilities support decision-making, automation, optimization, and innovation across the Chevron value chain, including Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and enterprise functions. This role applies data science, machine learning, and AI-enabled approaches to solve business problems and deliver measurable outcomes. The Role The function of this role is to partner with the business to translate opportunities into data, AI, and machine learning solutions that deliver measurable business value. The successful candidate will have the skills to frame business problems, prototype and build data science and AI-enabled products, and support adoption of scalable solutions. As a Data Scientist, you will: Identify and frame opportunities to apply data science, machine learning, AI, GenAI-enabled workflows, and related technologies to improve decision-making, workflow efficiency, automation, and business outcomes. Define the expected business value, success measures, and adoption considerations for proposed opportunities. Identify needed data and appropriate technology to solve identified business challenges. Clean data and develop and test models. Establish the life cycle management process for models. Engage business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to communicate progress, quantify impact, support adoption, value and identify additional opportunities.
