Overview: The enterprise architect turns strategic intent into actionable blueprints and ensures compliance with technical standards and guardrails. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, performing architecture reviews, and guiding IT and business leaders on strategic investment. An enterprise architect’s focus is on the large spectrum of process, systems and data that enable critical business processes across the enterprise. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Convert strategic intent from stakeholders into actionable, cost-efficient, and secure blueprints that the IT organization can deliver. Conduct architectural reviews and assessments against architectural guidelines, enforcing rules and policies that maintain a secure, efficient and effective IT landscape. Define and communicate the living target architecture, high-level design, and technical roadmaps. Lead or participate in architecture runway and other ceremonies to ensure consistency across teams and management of dependencies. Review and improve architectural standards, contributing to the guardrails for the enterprise. Help leadership define policies, guidelines, and strategies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of prior experience as an enterprise architect, preferably in the oil and gas industry. 10+ years of prior experience in technical IT roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Experience in both development and operations, including DevOps. Skilled in implementing various architecture styles, design patterns and best practices for software development.
