Industrial Telecommunications Engineer

KBR is lo oking for an Industrial Telecommunications Engineer to assist a subject matter expert (SME) with the definition of the telecommunications and IT scope, from early conceptual through detail design, for medium, large and world-scale oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical projects. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assist with the definition of the telecommunications and IT scope, from early conceptual through detail design, for medium, large and world-scale oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical projects. Direct the efforts of equipment suppliers and third-party design engineering and construction contractors Prepare accurate and complete designs and calculations as required to meet project requirements. Conduct field investigations when needed; produce field reports with detailed sketches. Coordinate with other disciplines and assist other engineers and/or designers to ensure an effective, quality product. Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques, and standards. Provide technical guidance to the design team. Help engineer multi-vendor solutions that are fault resilient with integrations that span vendor platforms. Also learn and execute all other control systems and instrumentation project activities as required, while building particular telecoms expertise.
