About this job We are looking for an experienced acoustic scientist with expertise in sonic and ultrasonic physics to join our scientific development team at Baker Hughes within our Wireline Business. The role will involve developing novel tools and answer products for our wireline logging services. The scientist will work alongside other physics and engineers in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Acoustic Scientist you will be responsible for: Working with Sonic and Ultrasonic Working in the lab conducting simulations and computations Discussing results of findings Validating and demonstrating technical concepts Executing feasibility studies through the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. Retiring early-stage research risks or developing shared Technology components for deployment in products or services Driving new manufacturing technology development and design for manufacturability To be successful in this role you will: Have deep knowledge of sonic and ultrasonic physics with strong modeling and simulation skills Be willing to work within a team to share ideas/findings and present results and ideas within the group and to larger audiences Good communication skills are a must Education Requirements : PhD in physics or engineering Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with wireline and/or LWD tools and
