Title: Sr. Telecommunications Engineer At KBR, We Deliver. Our focus spans proprietary technology, consulting, and energy transition to complete delivery of major capital projects and programs. KBR is looking for a Sr. Telecommunications Engineer to lead the definition of the telecommunications and IT scope, from early conceptual through detail design, for medium, large and world-scale oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical projects. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Lead the definition of the telecommunications and IT scope, from early conceptual through detail design, for medium, large and world-scale oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical projects. Present to and coordinate with customers on telecommunication strategy. Develop telecommunication program strategy through all phases of the stage gate process Direct critical activities requiring knowledge and expertise in telecommunications, IT, and cyber security Direct the efforts of equipment suppliers and third-party design engineering and construction contractors Develop conceptual scopes and write specifications and requirements for telecommunications/IT/cyber security projects Prepare accurate and complete designs and calculations as required to meet project requirements. Conduct field investigations when needed; produce field reports with detailed sketches. Coordinate with other disciplines and assist engineers and/or designers to ensure an effective, quality product. Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques, and standards.
